School Began

Christopher and Matthew started school this week it was a little tiring all week because we had to get up around 6 o'clock every morning to get Christopher to the bus. Today was the first day he went by himself David has been walking him to the light at the corner next to the Elementary School where the bus picks up at 7:05.

Both boys are enjoying their teacher's and having not problem getting up in the morning, not like their Mom and Dad.

We had company Wednesday my Sister Annette and her husband Charlie stayed with us until Thursday we had fun talking of old times and hearing of what is going on with the family and the news that each of us are going to be new grandparents. Yes you hared right Jennifer is going to have her third due March 31st. We hear RJ is very excited.

Next week I start back working lunch and noon duty at the Elementary. I did this later in the year last year and they asked if I would come back for this school year. No picture taken this week. But the boys have not changed much in a couple of weeks.

Summer trips are over

We are back from all the trips we took the last two weeks has I said last time we went to Sacramento and Christopher went to baseball camp. He enjoyed the time on the field with the River Cats players and learning new tips for baseball.

This is the view from the hotel we stayed in Sacrament so we didn't have to get up early each morning. We parked the car and could walk to the ball park which is just over the bridge in the picture and took Matthew around old town and saw some sites.

The first morning we took Matthew to the replica of the Nina which Christopher Columbus sailed. There are four people who sail this ship at a time all over the world. They are volunteer's and change out all but the cook who is a 80 year old women who has been sailing on the ship of 8 years.

Old town Sacramento is filled with many old time world eras to see like this one room school house. Matthew volunteered for this photo of school teacher.

On the last day of Baseball camp we went to a River Cats game they won the game.

Last week we took the last of our summer trips before school starts this Monday the eighteenth. Took no pictures because I always forgot the camera. We spent a very relaxing time at the mountain condo and had fun swimming and riding the train in the old town of James town. Back to the work of cleaning house and getting the boys ready for next week.

Short trip

We are heading up to Sacramento for three days. Christopher is enrolled in Baseball Camp with the River Cats again. We did this trip last year and enjoyed it. He starts at 8 o'clock in the morning and ends at noon Thursday and Friday. We found it easier to drive up the night before and not have to fight traffic and save gas because where we stay we can walk to the ball park and we also get to see a game Friday night so we stay one more night and come home Saturday.
Matthew enjoys the trip because we go over to old town Sacramento and see a lot of old history.
This trip hope to ride the old train and see a old replica of a boat like the pilgrims sailed over in.
The boat is to be docked at the river just across the hotel we are staying in next to the old Sacramento bridge.

Seeing more of Idaho

Saturday morning we headed up to see the Tetons

This is the lake we took a boat and crossed to hike the trail to see the Hiden Water fall.

Matthew looking through the teloscope looking at the Tetons

We made it up to the Hidden Fall, the hike was worth it and not to hard a little hot at times. The mist from the Falls made the hottness not so bad.

Jennifer, RJ and Matthew posing under the big tree at the end of the trail near the Fall.

Matthew being a good uncle and sitting with his neice and nephew.

Does Savannah love her uncle?

The three all took a brake heading back down the trail, Savannah was a trouper and never complained

It was a fun day and we ended the day stoping at a great Mexican restrante in the town of Drigges Idaho good place to eat.

Fourth of July Vacation Idaho

We left smokey California July second we drove to Elko Nev. then the next morning we woke-up and had breakfeast at the casino then on the road we head to see Jennifer and family.I was a long car ride but worth seeing the grandkids run to meet us when we arrived at Jennifers home in Iona Idaho. Jennifer made us a good tasting steak salad for dinner. We waited until Jared return home from a office dinner meeting and the boys, RJ and Savannah got to play with fire cracker Jared helped them set in the front yard.

The next day was the fourth of July and Jennifer I and the children all went to the parade in Idaho Falls it was fun but a I had to find a piece of shade to stand under.

Sum of the entery I enjoyed.

This smilinf face is the cutes but I'm a proud grandma.

That after noon we spent the afternoon with family that is my sister Marilyn and her family came down from Ricksburg and we all hang out at Jennifer's and enjoyed dinner and played games before heading to the fourth July firer works in down town Idaho Falls next to the river.

Was some the best firer works I had ever seen and so many with no breaks between. Was a late night but every fun and Christopher got to go home with Marilyn and spend the vacation with his cousin Josh.

Fathers Day

Fathers Day 2008

Last week the family all got together of Fathers Day. Margaret came home and made her pizzia for everyone.
Was a fun time and great to have the homemade pizza we had all be talking about to the family. margaret had made pizza for Matthew's and Christopher's Birthdays last year.

Smokey

A weekend with smoke and concern for many close friends and their safety and homes.
The firers are still burning and we are smelling the smoke. The volunteer evacuations are just up the road from your subdivision. The evacuation are on Twin Sisters and upper Green Valley on alert.
