Sickness in 2009

It is 2009 and we had the joy of having Jennifer and the two children stay with us this last week. It was fun having them just wished some of us didn't get the sickness still going back and for worth through the children. Christopher came home Friday after school with the high fever and Saturday and today he has a bad cough lingering. Jennifer and children left Saturday to go back home to Idaho.

Today I spoke in two wards which is part of my new calling in the church. It was high counsel Sunday and I spoke in my home ward and Third ward, glad that that assignment is over. My calling is in the Stake Primary Presidency and we are assigned to speak with the High counselor on a signed Sunday's. I believe I am free for an other three months.

Christmas is over and a New Year to begin

Saturday before Christmas I got my first gift my new car. We had looked at this Honda before and drove it and really liked it but it with a little above your price range. then David and his brother were looking in the computer at work and punch in a web site of request of a Honda pilot and this same car came up again but they had lowered the price of this 2008 last one on the lot and we went to see the dealer again that weekend. They had gave us a good deal on this new 2008 only 20 miles on it we took the deal and I drove off the lot after about four hours of paper work and cleaning and setting -up the car that the dealer does before releasing the car to the owner.

Tuesday December 23rd we had a family birthday celebration for David's birthday. Jennifer and her family were there and also David's parents. We had a spaghetti dinner a tradition for Davids birthday and a cake made by his mother which was a cake he had most birthdays when he was a young boy. Angel food cake with ice cream and peppermint's with pecan's.

Christmas morning was great the family all together again with Margaret and Jennifer. Things changed just before we were to be heading to David's parents for Christmas dinner Matthew came down with an illness so David and him stayed home will the rest of us went to his parents.

It was hard not having them there with us but latter they did show up for a little time for David and Matthew to open up gifts then go back home. We where able to get this family picture.

Nightmare Tuesday

I will be getting a new car for Christmas.
Not the way I would of like that to come about.
Tuesday night I was taking the boys to the church for Young Men's and Scouts. When going through the intersection of Green Valley and Mangles a women run the light and hit me.
I think of what could happen if I had been farther in the intersection when the women came speeding through the intersection.
The two boys plus their neighbor friends where also in the car with me, they were not hurt but I'm sure they are shaken up like me. I have some bruising on my left shoulder and lower pain in back and neck but I think it is more due to stress of the season.
We look at it has we where being watched that we had not injuries more sirius.

Bartley Thanksgiving

Had a nice Thanksgiving at the Edmans home. Marge and Jim Edman are good friends with David's parents. Their son and daughter inlaw (Jamie and Marsha) live with them in their home. Jamie was the bishop when David served with him almost twelve years ago. We had Christopher when David severed with him as his second counselor in the Cordelia ward.

We did this last year but we hosted Thanksgiving at our home. We decided to get together again because they had none of their married family coming home for the holiday. Both families enjoy each others company. I forgot my camera but I'm hoping I can get some form David's father.

David and I went out shopping for Christmas in an old mining town up above Sacramento Saturday morning. Was a fun area by the name of Sutter Creek. May sound familiar a lot of history in the little town. We found a few things and enjoyed having lunch there also.

Matthew Turned Eleven

Last Wednesday November 12th was Matthew's eleventh birthday we didn't not do much that day because Christopher was every sick. We had planned to all go out for pizza with grandmother and grandfather Bartley that night was sure we were going to stay in that night and just order in pizza with out grandparents.
But the decision was made Matthew needed his special day so Matthew, dad and I went has planned and pick up grandparents. Went and had pizza at Mary's Pizza Shack. Johnathan stayed home with Christopher will the rest of us went. Was a nice time with Matthew he entertained all of us. Grandfather wondered when he would stop talking, his mouth kept going all the way from their house to Mary's Pizza Shack.

The weekend before his birthday David took Matthew and two of his friend to the Black Chasm Caverns a cave that is known for it's helicites, thin straw like twisted formations.
The following picture is a formation of one of those types of helicites, they name it Mo Shoe the dragon from the Movie Mulon looks cool.

Halloween last week

Matthew came up with his own custom well
actually, Johnathan was this same character
two years ago at Wal-Mart. Had bought the shirt and when he washed it after wearing a few times he gave it to Matthew.
The chartacter is called the Punisher a Marvel character that is one of Matthew's favorites.
I had fun drawing facial hair on him and coloring with temporary black hair coloring spray.

Mathew with two of his friends, Grandma thought RJ and Savannah would like seeing Uncle Matthew with the Ginger Bread man.

Ms. Huzel's fifth grade gobblem's

Last weekend the Eagles won their second

downloading
pictures from my camera.

Matthew has a great eye

It has been some time but here is a picture Matthew took for a school project his class is doing in the fifth grade. I'm not sure what they are going to be doing with it other than making a hard bound Photo Book to be auction off at a fundraiser for the school. He took the picture down by the creek next to your house. Matthew likes to go there with his friends and hang out, there is a rope swing near this area. We think he did a great job of taking this shot .
Fall baseball is almost over we have one game tonight and then the last game on Saturday afternoon.
Soccer though will continue an other three weekends.
Hope we can get some projects done before the cold weather hits out side.
